Sip Life : Hidden Pathways

Sip Life : Hidden Pathways

"Your road led through the sea, your pathway through the mighty waters—a pathway no one knew was there!"
Psalm 77:19

To be honest, I read the verse above, for the first time last week. When praying about this week's devotional, the word “pathway” notably stood out. Not just any pathway, however...a hidden pathway!

Like Moses standing between a raging army & vast miles of ocean water; Like Esther facing a stage set for the ruin of the Jewish people; Like the hands of a clock ticking their way towards 400 years of silence; the Lord was paving a path, for His glory, that no one knew was there. A pathway through the mighty waters, a pathway of sudden turnaround, a pathway towards our eternal salvation. Never seen but always there.

Hidden pathways are exposed when we acknowledge the Lord.
When we face a horizon of hope, without a pathway to lead us there...acknowledge the Lord! "Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take." [Proverbs 3:6] "Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come." [Jeremiah 33:3] "I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland" [Isaiah 43:19] He is the path paver, He is the all-knowing, He is the way maker. Hope will always remain alive because our God knows of every hidden path - ready to be revealed upon our request to Him.

Sip life, coffee lovers!

I am not sure how I ended up reading this, but it has brought so many thoughts and emotions. As I am entering a new pathway in my life, for once, I don’t feel completely lost and I think it is because I have purposely let go of my ways and rely on His word and trust His promises. I still feel a bit of uncertainty but I think that’s the human part of me that still wants to be able to survive in this world. Thank you for writing this, I didn’t know how much I needed it.
