This Fall season, get cozy with this simple, yet perfect "Pumpkin Spice Whipped Foam" coffee recipe.
- The Great Pumpkin Spice Coffee Blend
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup organic pumpkin puree (half of a 15oz. can)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup powdered surgar (optional)
First, we will make The Great Pumpkin Spice coffee. We used a French press for this, but feel free to make your coffee to your liking. A good rule of thumb for using a French press is to use 1-2 tablespoons of coffee for every 6 ounces of water. We used 18oz of water and 3 tablespoons of coffee.
Now for the fun part! While your coffee is steeping or dripping, let's go ahead and make some festive whipped foam. Mix all the ingredients listed; 1 cup heavy whipping cream, 1/4 cup organic pumpkin puree (half of a 15oz. can), and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon into a chilled tin, stainless steel or metal bowl.
Time for the secret ingredient! Your coffee should be just about done by now. Go ahead and splash about a 1/4 cup of it into the mixture. This enhances the foam with a subtle coffee flavor.
Mix it up!
Use an electric mixer at medium to high speed or hand whisk and give it a good mixin'. We used an electric mixer for about 3 minutes. Keep mixing until it gets a little lighter in texture and foams slightly. *Helpful hint* If you want it a little thicker, add a little powdered sugar to the mix!
Let's put it all together now. Pour your delicious coffee into your favorite As Of Latte mug and top it off with as much pumpkin spice whipped foam as you like! It floats nicely at the top and gives you a foamy mustache when it touches your lips. Add a little cinnamon on top to garnish!
